DiRt is an American heavy metal / hard rock band from Cleveland, Ohio specializing in heavy metal and hard rock covers. They are based out of Lorain County and are a four-piece band.

History []

DiRt was formed in November of 2015 by John Raab, Dan Gilles and original bassist Andres Moyet. They began as a tribute act to Alice In Chains. Their first live show was on July 23, 2016 at the Trainwreck Tavern in South Amherst. After three shows and a change in guitarists to and from Nate Brumfield, the band decided to expand their catalog and cover music from bands they enjoyed - bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Anthrax, Pantera, Clutch, Godsmack, Kiss, Pentagram, Quiet Riot, Drowning Pool, White Zombie, Rage Against The Machine and even kept some Alice in Chains tunes. Past members include Brumfield (guitar), Matt Smith (guitar), Bob Rodriguez (bass), Jason Ortman (bass), Ronny Turner (guitar), Eric Philpot (guitar) and Tym Broadhead (guitar). Smith joined the band in October of 2016, and Rodriguez joined in July of 2018. In 2019, cousins Robert (guitar, July) and Sean Spinks (bass, October) joined the band. They have played venues such as the Odeon and Shakers Tavern in Cleveland, Iggys, the Phantasy and Foundry in Lakewood, the Whiskey Warehouse/Electric Co. in Mansfield, the Empire and the Vortex in Akron, the Diamondback in Eastlake, the Sand Trap in North Royalton, Mutt & Jeff's in Lorain and the Sly Fox in North Olmsted.
